Our course provides an intensive music training opportunity. Every student will receive the opportunity to perform at least one solo work throughout the week; and by the end of the course, everyone should be prepared to perform at least one new work in the form of a duet, chamber group or orchestra. Practice and preparation are crucial and will be essential for success.
All participants will receive a detailed daily schedule, tailored for the individual, prior to the start of the course. Each student will be allocated into different groups based on their instrument, level and age. Each group will be led by a specially appointed tutor who will manage their daily living & musical arrangements, making sure that fun is a part of learning.
Our course will contain a variety of components, including but not limited to:
Private instrument lessons
Piano duet training (for piano players)
Chamber group training
Orchestra training (for string players)
Masterclasses with with renowned professors and musicians
Aural training
Workshops on theory and musicianship
Lectures on music appreciation
Choir sessions
Lunch time recitals
Professional recorded final concert at the Menuhin Hall
Workshops for college auditions and admission (for 16+ participants)
Alexander technique
Chances to visiting prestigious music colleges and Royal Albert Hall
Relaxing time (swimming, tennis, football, game etc.)

The sample timetable on the right was the daytime schedule of student Annie with piano as her 1st instrument and cello as her 2nd instrument, in the summer course of 2023. A fully boarding timetable will extend daytime from 8am to 8pm with more sessions, practice and activities (downtime included!).
